FOGP is a local charity group run by local parents and has been set up with the aim of raising money to replace the equipment in the playground.
We aim to bring together the Grenoside community to help make Grenoside playground and park the best it can be!

We are thrilled to announce that Friends of Grenoside Park is officially registered as a charity (July 2023). This significant milestone will provide us with enhanced opportunities to secure funding, collaborate with other organisations, and expand our efforts to further improve the park for the entire community.
We are in the early stages of our vision for the park. However, once we have this we will have a much better idea of our overall fundraising target for the playground. We hope to raise the money by putting in bids for different grants available for this type of project.
We always on the look out for people to help us, this could be at fundraising events, tidying the park or reporting issues to Sheffield City Council. We couldn't accomplish our goals without the help of supporters like you.
We are very grateful to everyone in the community who has supported us. We are on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter and regularly update our social media channels with any news. Please do follow us and share our posts!

Did you know? some of the play equipment is 30 years old. with the last update being 10 years ago (2013)!

Friends of Grenoside Park are a committed group of local parents who have been working hard to raise funds and awareness for our community playground and park. We are pleased to announce that we have now become a charity (July 2023). This significant milestone will provide us with enhanced opportunities to secure funding, collaborate with other organisations, and expand our efforts to further improve the park for the entire community. Bringing further positive changes to our playground and park and make it a vibrant and inviting place for all children and users. A lot of the park equipment has been in place for over 30 years and it’s time for an update.
We are currently working with Sheffield City Council and playground equipment companies to draw up plans for a new playground which will be more inclusive and offer children a better play experience when using the playground. If we all work together we can improve our green park space in the heart of Grenoside.

My children love going to the park! They love seeing their friends after school and playing, however in comparison to other parks close by I would love to see Grenoside Park updated and more engaging for the kids.

I love meeting my friends after school in the park and in the holidays, we play hot lava. I would like to see new swings, zip wire and slide from the skate park so we can have even for fun.

The skate park fab, my kids use it loads since it opened and a big thumbs up for the picnic benches, just wish the park had the same update and bring it in line with others around.
