Happy New Year from Friends of Grenoside Park! As we step into 2024, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who participated in the Christmas Tree Trail. It was great to see all the wonderful entries in our first year of managing the trail, and we hope to see even more trees registering next Christmas for an even more magical experience in 2024! We truly believe that the strong community spirit of Grenoside is what makes this place so special, and we were thrilled to see such fantastic entries. Reflecting on our accomplishments over last year, Friends of Grenoside Park are immensely proud of what we have achieved in such a short span of time. Our dedication to the project remains unyielding, and we are excited to continue working towards our vision alongside the council.

Of course, as with any endeavour, we have faced challenges along the way. Recent changes in the Park and Countryside team have resulted in some unavoidable delays. Yet, we are optimistic that 2024 will bring us closer to realising our goals. Our focus is on completing the plans for the playground, and with the necessary funding, we hope to install an exhilarating aerial slide/run in the park. This forms a crucial part of our early planned changes that will enhance the park experience for all.

Exciting news from Friends of Grenoside Park! We are delighted to announce that we have received the LAC funding, which has been deposited into our account. This funding is a crucial step towards making the playground project a reality, and we cannot wait to get started.
