Welcome to the first edition of the FOGP newsletter. Thank you to everyone in the community who has taken time to complete our online survey and/or donate to our cause. We now have

over 250 responses to the survey and are going through these. We plan to keep the survey open until the end of September so if you haven't already completed it there is still time!

Since we set up in May 2022 our social media officer has built our website. We have also been meeting with the city council and playground equipment companies to discuss with them how best to use the playground space. We recently had a very successful meeting with the Northern Local Area committee during which we secured funding for a new fence for the playground!

In August two of our committee members supported Grenoside Gala Queen (Piper) in a sponsored litter pick in Grenoside Park and all donations received were split between ourselves

and the Grenoside Gala. Later in the same month we received a very generous donation from Grenoside Bowls club and would like to take this opportunity to thank them for this.

After we close the survey at the end of the month we will review the results and use these along with our discussions with playground equipment companies to hopefully draw up a plan for the new playground area. Once we have this we will have a much better idea of our overall fundraising target for the playground. We hope to raise the money by putting in bids for different grants available for this type of project. That being said every little helps and if you are able to make any donation this would really help. It’s easy to donate on our website.
