Spring 2024 update what has been happening at the park!
FOGP NEWS
we're still fully committed to our mission to enhance Grenoside Park
It's been a while since our last update, but rest assured, we're still fully committed to our mission to enhance Grenoside Park. We're eagerly awaiting the delivery of plans from the Park and Countryside team, although we've experienced some unavoidable delays due to changes within their team and financial constraints faced by the council.
Our Chair, Laura, is tirelessly advocating for our project with the planning department, ensuring that we receive the plans we've requested and paid for. Despite setbacks, we remain optimistic and hope to have significant progress by the end of summer.
In the meantime, we've been busy with volunteer days, continuing our efforts to paint the park's fence. Weather permitting, we'll carry on with this project over the coming months.
Behind the scenes, we're finalising some additional aspects of the project and look forward to sharing more news with you soon.
We're incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and generous donation from St. Mark's Church, as well as from our community and local businesses. Your contributions, whether time or financial, are invaluable to us and help us realise our vision for Grenoside playground and park. Together, let's continue to create a park we can all be proud of.
Thank you for your continued support and dedication.
